If you successfully added a new domain from the Domain Manager section of Admin Settings, you should now see your domain listed if you select Domain Manager.
Select the domain you just added to see settings for this domain and to finish the site set up process.
In the top-left you should see a status message. We need to verify that you added your domain correctly, so while that happens, you might see a few different status messages:
Pending Setup: this means you added your domain but we haven't confirmed that you pasted the nameserver values in your registrar account. If you know you haven't done that yet, please follow the instructions here. If you think you did this correctly, wait a few minutes then try refreshing the page. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the changes to register. You can also search for your domain here - if you see all green check marks, then your status should update shortly.
Unused: this means you successfully added your domain, but you haven't linked it to a Winnable site yet. You're ready to move forward with the next steps of site set up.
Active: this means your domain is already linked to a Winnable site - and has been used accordingly to finish that site's set up. If you want to remove this domain from a Winnable site, and link it to a different Winnable site, reach out to our team for help.
Verify Status
You'll need your status to display Unused before you can move forward with site set up. Either refresh your page or reach out to our team for help if you don't see this.
Once your status displays Unused, you should see 3 options near the middle of the screen: "Connect a Winnable site", "Add a common mailer or email provider", and "Add a custom DNS record". You're now ready for the next article!
